The fruit selected from Marlborough adds a textural element, richness, citrus flavours and ageability to the wine, while Waipara gives the fabulous floral aromatics.

A portion of nobly botrytic fruit has produced a distinctive style of wine. It has a core of citrus fruit characters, particularly lemons and limes, but there is also an undercurrent of white fleshed peaches and nectarines. The botrytis has added hints of honeysuckle and also given the wine extra concentration and richness. A seam of natural acidity and minerality flows through the wine and gives it an off-dry finish length and zest.

The Riesling has a lifted nose of lime juice, honey and lemon tea. A touch of sweetness on the palate is balanced by some tangy acid and funky complexity, giving way to an exciting finish, that jumps around in your mouth for longer than you would think possible.

Notes of tangerine, apricot and jasmine white florals. Bright and lively nectarine introduces this wine to the palate. A moderate amount of residual sugar (30g/L) has been retained to balance the clean acidity.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. Mt Difficulty Roaring Meg Riesling palate shows delicious succulent ripe citrus flavours, whilst medium-dry in style, it has a lovely backbone of natural acidity. TWR's passion for making and drinking Riesling is based partly on the wide variety of styles that this variety can produce. This Riesling 'M' is designed from the 'vineyard-in' in a medium-dry style and is dangerously drinkable. Lifted aromas of mandarin, pink grapefruit, and white peach follow onto vibrant, ripe flavours of the same with juicy lime with underlying slatey mineral notes. This wine is fine and soft with excellent fruit weight and concentration to counterbalance the mouth-watering acidity.

Established in 1994 and named after the landmark Wither Hills range that borders the vineyards, the Wither Hills expert team grow and craft expressive wines New Zealanders know and trust to represent quality. Wither Hills Riesling is fairly dry in style and bursting with flavours of freshly squeezed lemons, citrus and flint with undertones of honey. Riesling are a stunning match with local seafood.
