Read the name Chianti, and you think of hills, villages, parish churches and farmhouses, where time stands still, preserving beauty and taste, keeping them authentic and intact, just as they once were. Sangiovese 85%, Merlot 10%, Other red grapes 5%. Clear, ruby-red in colour, with reasonable depth and 'legs' indicating good structure. Perfumes of cherries and fresh red fruit, mingle with spicy, peppery notes. The wine is lively and fresh in the mouth, with soft, rounded tannins. Good intensity, attractive structure and fine, long length.

Match with rolled hogget roast stuffed with sweetbreads and served with jus gras and crispy agria potatoes.

Nice, vibrant ruby red colour. Sweetly scented and classically "Martinborough" with a nice balance of red cherry, pretty florals and savoury, earthy notes. A delicious array of ripe and succulent red berry/cherry flavours and layers. Lovely spice and quite a lot of fruit and oak sweetness on the finish, complimented nicely by silky tannins and delicate acidity. Nice, fresh and youthful Pinot Noir expression. Great drinking now and will cellar nicely for 5 plus years. Food match with braised rabbit pappardelle.
